Evald opened in 2003 and is inspired by the French Café-Brasserie culture. The owners Jesper and Jacob named the restaurant after their grandfather. "To us, it is important that our guests feel a pleasant atmosphere and sense of being spoiled as we wish to bring on to the memory of our beloved grandfather."
It matters to us that the food we serve is made from scratch and of quality products from local suppliers.
In our atmospheric Brasserie & Café you can enjoy delicious food and drinks. From a delicious 3-course menu to coffee from The Coffee Collective, a local beer from our large beer menu, a nice lunch or maybe a delicate, cold glass of white wine for a light salad.
In the evening, Evald changes the character to a restaurant where you can enjoy a-la-carte dishes and some classic café dishes. The food we serve is made from scratch and of quality products from local suppliers.
We are convinced that "less is more". We often change our menu and do what we can to follow the season's range of produce. In Denmark, the best raw materials are produced and we want to support local and Danish producers, as this also helps to maintain Danish jobs.
Our servers are happy to provide you with the recommendation about the choice of wine and food, or the good avec for your espresso. Our waiters are chosen for their good mood, sense of humor and kindness. They are usually not skilled, but we make sure to add skills to them continuously. Our main priority is that there is smiling and prompt service - and not that our waiters know everything about a given wine house.
