Himmelbjerget, or the Sky Mountain, has for many years been a popular destination for all people visiting the Lake District.
It has one of the best views in the entire kingdom of Denmark! From the top of the hill, 147 meters above sea level, you can enjoy the sight of our gorgeous lakes and woodland – the view will not disappoint you.
For a long time, Himmelbjerget was thought to be the highest point in Denmark. However, it was discovered in the late part of the 19th century, that the highest locations in Denmark were in fact found at Ejer Bavnehøj and Yding Skovhøj, respectively – both measuring more than 170 meters above sea level.
You find a map of the area here. For more information about Himmelbjerget, click here, or check out the official website.
