Sailing at Silkeborgsøerne - the lakes of Silkeborg
In the summer half the boats sail at the lakes between Silkeborg, Himmelbjerget, Ry and Laven. The Hjejle Company has a boat "Mågen" which is designed handicap-friendly, so you as a wheelchair user also can enjoy sailing at the lakes.

The "Trækstien" is asphalted along Silkeborg Langsø on the side of Ansvej facing Ringvejsbroen. Read more about Trækstien here...
Along Remstrup Å there is asphalted from the Hjejle Kiosk by Åhavevej and to the railway bridge. See a map here...
Experience the swamp's plants and animals, e.g. squirrels, roe deers, grass snakes, vipers and several insects at close range at the newly inaugurated handicap-path at Vejlbo Mose. (The path is 1,2 km. long. It begins at the entrance to the swamp at the corner of Frederiksberggade and Marienlundvej, and the path is clearly marked all the way)

Søndergaards have (Garden)
Søndergaards Have is a privately owned garden/park, which is open for the public. In the garden you can e.g. enjoy herbaceous perennials and stone beds and also large green grass areas. The garden is relatively flat and certain areas have paths. Handicap-friendly toilets can be found. Read more about Søndergaards Have here..

The Park at Silkeborg Bad
In the Park surrounding the old spa buildings at Silkeborg Bad visitors have free access. Visitors in wheelchairs can also use the paths in the Park. Indelukket
Close to the centre of Silkeborg and along Gudenåen you will find Indelukket -a green park and leisure area which, among other things, accomodates a marina, a kayak and motor boat club, Museum Jorn, Silkeborg and an open air stage.
In the park you will find nice paths accessible for wheelchair users. Possibly, you can make a stop at the peer of Hjejlen and observe the very lively water trafic.
