Silkeborg Ildfestregatta
Since the 19th Century, Silkeborg has held the Silkeborg Ildfest Regatta every threee years – an impressive and atmospheric festival of fireworks, light and entertainment on the Silkeborg lakes. Hundreds of illuminated boats, innumerable lights along the shore, thousands of spectators and not least the impressive festival fireworks make this a unique occasion not to be missed.
The next Ildfest Regatta will be held in August 2014.

IndelukketIndelukket is an area of woodland that runs right down to the Gudenå River . It's also a water sport centre and marina. In addition to sporting activities the area is also a cultural and artistic venue including Silkeborg Art Museum. There is an open air stage, which hosts a number of different festivals and concerts in late spring, summer and early autumn.
