Bathing tips

Make your trip to the beach a positive, safe experience and only go into the water when conditions are appropriate. Follow the Danish national guidelines

  • BATHING TIPS!

    • Never bathe on your own
    • Bathe only where permitted
    • Stop when the water is up to
    your waist
    • Only swim parallel with the shore
    • Only dive in head first where the
    water is deep enough
    • Never swim after drinking alcohol or taking euphoria-inducing substances
    • Come out before you get too cold

And again – another healthy young man loses his mobility and will be an invalid for the rest of his life

  • ONLY DIVE IN HEAD FIRST WHERE THE WATER IS DEEP ENOUGH!

Unfortunately, many accidents happen when people dive into shallow water.

As a general rule you should NEVER dive in head first if you do not know how deep the water is or what conditions are like at the bottom.

  • LEAVE YOUR INFLATABLE TOY ANIMAL AT HOME

Every summer, playing with inflatable toy animals, rubber dinghies and air mattresses are the cause of many rescue operations on Danish beaches.

Some are unnecessary and very expensive, and others end with a tragic drowning accident.

So, leave your inflatable toy animal at home.
