All About Angling
In order to fish on The Silkeborg Lakes you need a national fishing license and local fishing permit.
Fishing License
All anglers in Denmark between the ages of 18 and 65 must carry a valid fishing license.
Prices are as follows: 24 hrs: 40 DKK, 1 week: 130 DKK, 1 year permit: DKK 185. Permits are available from the Silkeborg, Ry and Bryrup Tourist Offices, and all Post Offices.

Fishing Permits
Fishing permits for Silkeborg Angling Society waters are also available from Silkeborg Tourist Office, Grejbiksen in Østergade, Hjejlekontoret, Silkeborg Kanocenter and from campsites (age 14 and above).
New! This fishing permit is also valied for the lakes and The Riven Guden near Ry (until/exkl. Mossø)
Fishing permit prices: 24 hrs: 100 DKK, 1 week: 300 DKK, 1 Year: 500 DKK. The permit is valid for all the Silkeborg Lakes (except Slåensø) and on The River Guden as far as Trust. A folder is available from Silkeborg Tourist Office detailing angling sites and fish species.

Fishing Permits for Lake Tange
You can buy local fishing permits for the Gudenå River until Bjerringbro, including Lake Tange at Trust Camping, Kongensbro Inn, Tange merchant's house, Statoil petrol station in Ans and at the petrol station in Bjerringbro.
